Trishla Talera is a Director of TIFA Working Studios a platform dedicated to exploring alternate avenues of art education in India. A fiber artist from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) she focuses on introducing mentorship programs for young artists and designers. She has worked with sustainable textiles and processes using hand loom, and interacted extensively with weavers’ communities. She has also studied organic agroecology at Bija University, Navdanya. Trishla has travelled extensively to develop collaborations with institutions from around the world and is a part of ongoing dialogues about new educational formats and experiments. She is currently a fellow at Art Think South Asia (ATSA) hosted by Khoj Association, British Council and Goethe Institute.
Roshan Talera is a Director of TIFA Working Studios. He has had a keen interest in art at monumental scales and how it adds a layer to the public’s understanding of what artistic imagination can do. Besides studying business and entrepreneurship from Babson College, he took numerous courses in art and developed a personal way of accessing culture. He is oriented towards public and street art and how they find their own unique ways of exciting the public imagination. Roshan helps young people and children gain exposure to contemporary art through regular lectures and slideshows that he delivers at schools and colleges across Pune. He has developed networks in the broader south-asian region with Government and non-Governmental actors in the cultural policy space.
