PERFORMANCES

GITE by LAURA AREND

Why does life stop at the Museum entrance? A question which has already caused a great deal of ink to flow, as many artistic projects come to life … To answer this question, Laura started from the premise that the museum can become our home, our GITE for a few hours.

This is to let each performance come to life in space, to take notice of each work as if they were a family photo hanging in our living room.

ICP by EMILY BOWMAN

Impression, Comparison, Perspective (ICP) is a performance model that has three short performances back to back. First you get an impression, the second time you get something to compare it to, and the third time you get perspective.

WHATCHAMACALLIT by SWAPNIL DAGLIYA

Raising your pinky in India conveys that you are going to the washroom but the same gesture means gonna go grab myself a pint of beer in Belgium. Using humour, irony, exaggeration and repetition Swapnil Dagliya presents a satirical comparison between human gestures that are universal and culturally specific to India.

CHOICES by APARAJITA BURJWAL

Performed by Hariharan & Atmica

The two dancers are offered choices and are now at crossroads. Both choices seem appealing and attractive. They weigh the pros and cons of each. However, in the end, no matter what we choose; we are never completely happy. Living in a time of abundant options, we can never really be content with just one.
