Mentors work with students to tailor study programmes in order to help them maximize their potential. They facilitate and engineer projects specific to the focus areas for each student, while working alongside them. Some of the activities a mentor undertakes include, directing students on which training courses they will find useful, hosting workshops to disseminate knowledge and techniques and creating a fluid and open environment that students find motivating.
The mentor and student will together create a programme covering a period of three months for each student, including milestones, deadlines and goals. The programmes are collaborative, self-initiated and studio-based. Mentors monitor student progress, tailor learning objectives accordingly in order to suit the student’s individual artistic growth. As a cumulation of the program students will have an open studio event.
